Biggest pet-peeves...

One of the most annoying things is messy rooms. Kitchens, bedrooms, bathrooms, it does not matter. My room is spotless 100% of the time. I live in a house full of pigs so I spend the majority of my time at home picking up after them. I have a place for everything in my room. My clothes are sorted in different baskets according to color and my closet is color coded. I also make my bed every morning. I just like everything organized a certain way.

Old people driving makes me angry. If the speed limit is 40, GO 40!!!!!! It's like they're not aware how dangerous their driving is.

My number one pet peeve is the band called the red hot chili peppers. They suck.

Dear soldier,
I cannot thank you enough for what you are doing for our country. I know how the military lifestyle is because my dad has been in the army for 22 years. I know how stressful and nerve-racking it can be. I am also joining the military soon. What branch are you in? Im joining the National Gaurd then switching to active duty Army. Well anyways, the holidays are coming up. Is there anything in particular you want for Christmas? Anyways, have a merry Christmas and a happy new year.

Heroes

My hero is my best friend. He's a couple years older than me so he knows how things are since he's already been through most of the stuff I am going through. He helps me out through everything from school work to relationships. He is just an all around great person. I look up to him more than anyone. I always know he is there for me when I need him, no matter the circumstance. I am also there for him no matter what he needs.

The economy has affected my life a lot but not so much in a drastic way. After I had quit my job to find better opportunities, I found out that it's nearly impossible to find another job. So now I do side jobs to earn gas money and money to pay the insurance for my car. Other than the job thing, the economy hasn't really affected me very much other than my parents are watching how we spend. Like this spring break, we didn't go on a cruise like we normally would. So instead we went on a road trip this summer.

The obstacle course of life...

Ready? Set. GO! There are many obstacles we face as a senior in high school. What from dating all the way to college planning, there is a lot to worry about. Myself, facing many obstacles at the moment, have been planning attentively. Like just this past weekend, I had to take my SAT'S at Manatee High School, immediately after, I had to drive to Sarasota YMCA (a 40 min drive) for my Tri-County swim meet which I was already 3 hours late for. Just before I got there, my car broke down in the middle of a turning lane. After waiting an hour to get another ride, I finally made it to the meet. Coming home that evening, I found out that all the parts wrong with my car would cost over $1000!!! The following day I found out my insurance payment was due also. All while being an unemployed student :) Anyways, those are my money obstacles for the moment which will be worked out very soon. I also have college planning to do. Deadlines, deadlines, and more deadlines. Scholarships, essays, applications.... it never ends! I also play sports which get in the way of a lot of my school work and social life. Instead of coming home or going out with friends, I have to go to swim practice and spend the majority of my weekends either at a swim meet or training for wrestling season. I also have to juggle all this while being Student Government Co-President and this being Homecoming month. But don't think this as a complaint! I love what I do and how busy I am. These are just a few of my short term obstacles.

Attention all freshman!!!

So you're finally in high school. More freedom and choices await you. Also, more responsibility. You may think this is time for fun and games but it's not! I screwed up my freshman year. Horribly. I had a terribly low GPA and almost all F's. I skipped 1st and 2nd block almost everyday to go out to breakfast (which was delicious but not worth the low grades). Anyways, I slacked off a lot and now I am paying the price. I had to have credit recovery for two years, which is not fun at all. Also I have to work extra hard so I can raise my GPA enough to get into college. You may think that Senior year is far away (I thought it was) but to tell you the truth it goes by fast. It feels like yesterday I was a scrawny, scared little Freshman on the first day of my adventure as a high school kid. Now I am a senior edging towards graduation, the day where my real life begins. It is frightening to know how quickly life goes by. What I am saying is, don't wait till your Junior or Senior year to pick up the pace. Do what you need to do and do your best at it! Strive for excellence, and your Senior year will be a breeze. Just don't make the mistakes I did.

Having some trouble.

Recently, we have been given a project on Lord of the Flies. I chose to make a music video with scenes from the original 1963 version of the movie played to a song I have decided would best fit the film. After finding out that not only the dvd is impossible to get a hold of, a popular video sharing website was nice enough to block the embeded code for the clips of the movie so I can not use them for my project (thanks youtube!). However, I am still looking and I am determined to find some usable clips so I can complete my assignment. Wish me luck!!!

Senior Goals

It's my senior year, and I want to accomplish a lot. First off, I want to get accepted into USF to get my Bachelor's degree in Bio-chemistry and Kinesiology. I would also like to try and get 4 varsity letters this year alone. I am also aiming to boost my G.P.A. up to above a 3.5 I want to be able to bench press 300 pounds, free weight, by December, but my chances aren't looking so good seeing as though I am only at 245 pounds. One of my main goals this year is to make it to states in wrestling at 125 pounds, and possibly Senior Nationals. Another main goal of mine would be to find a job but it is very tough in this economy. Another goal is to finally get my tattoo finished.
